The work

Roundabout / Restaurant, catering & Meal Prep

Always something
cooking.

A restaurant table, a catered occasion, a meal to take with you. Different ways of serving people, connected by food.

Menus, campaigns, service photography, and a repeatable meal-card system from the Roundabout archive.

At the table.

A menu with
some mischief.

A children’s menu can do its practical job and still have a personality. Here, a pair of lemon characters brings a bit of the gig-poster world to the table.

The menu and activity reverse are shown together, with the illustration given room to do its job. The connection between food and music is even part of the printed joke.

A food-led campaign

Let the food
do some talking.

A plate of homemade pasta gives the campaign its focus. The typography and layout leave room for the food to be the reason to look.

Behind the scenes.

The people
make the occasion.

Catering is more than the finished plate. Preparation, timing, and service are part of the experience.

The archive follows that work through the kitchen setup, the team plating food, and the small gestures of service. Together, the images show what a table full of food alone cannot.

On the go.

One useful system.
A whole menu of meals.

The Meal Prep work turns a set of food photographs into a consistent product presentation. A fresh portfolio study gives three of those archival dishes a clearer, more spacious card layout.

The original food photography stays at the center. Dish names have more room, with a quieter brand signature underneath. The 2018 source proof is available below for context.

A little room for the food.

Refreshed meal card for Chicken with Caramelized Onions, Roasted Carrots and Parsnips

A new portfolio study using the original archival photographs and dish names. Historical menu content, not a current product offer. The source photos are intentionally kept at a modest display size.

Food knowledge.
Useful design.

From a playful menu to a repeatable meal card, the through-line is work that understands the food and the way people encounter it.

Project details & archive notes

Selected restaurant, catering, and Meal Prep materials from the DFC / Roundabout project archive. Design scope shown includes menus, illustration, campaign layouts, and meal-card presentation. Individual photographic credits remain subject to final portfolio review; the case does not assign unverified authorship.

The children’s-menu front and reverse are exact artwork extractions from the same October 2017 proof. Printer labels and blank signoffs have been removed from the presentation; the artwork is unchanged. The pasta advertisement is a presentation mockup. The July 2018 Caveman sheets remain available as source proofs. The three prominent meal cards are a separate 2026 portfolio refresh, using original low-resolution archival food photographs. They are not claimed as delivered 2018 materials or evidence of verified nutrition calculations.

Catering and Meal Prep images come from the 2018 archive; that archive date is not a verified capture date. Names of depicted people, event-client relationships, sales results, and current product availability are not asserted. Image and depicted-person reuse permissions remain subject to final review.
